Photovoices opportunity for community members

Dear Friends and Supporters of Latino Health:

You are cordially invited to be part of the upcoming Latino Health “Photovoices” exhibit at the Pittsburgh Filmmakers. “Photovoices” is a technique for capturing community themes and strengths using visual images (still and video) as well as audio recordings and text. Pittsburgh Filmmakers will feature our work February 24 – April 2 at their gallery on Melwood Street (North Oakland, Pittsburgh).
We have scheduled opportunities for members of the Latino community or individuals supporting Latino health as providers to share their perspectives on Latino health including their personal stories and/or hopes for the future. These opportunities are: Wednesday January 11 from 7pm – 9pm at Filmmakers, Room D and Sunday January 22 from 2pm – 4 pm. The more people who share their story, the richer the exhibit will be! Each interview will be a maximum of 15 minutes.

Please contact Fernando Cardoza at 412-445-1079 (for Spanish) or Sue Myers at 412-725-4619 (for English) to schedule a time slot to record.

Thank you for your continuing interest in promoting Latino health!

With warm regards,

The Pittsburgh Latino Health Advocacy and Leadership Program
